At TAHS, we use the International American Phonics Method to teach students how to read.
Once students are able to recognize sounds in words, they learn how to spell with ease. Using the Phonics Method, students become confident at reading content even from their science, math’s and grammar textbooks.
This is simply because they apply the 3 phonics rules to reading which are the
1. Long and Short sounds
2. Exceptions
3. Phonics special sounds
We, at the Ambassador High School, wish to equip our students with the most important tool they need in their early school life, which is to read fluently, accurately, with expression, with proper diction and enunciation.
Our highest aim for our students is for them to soar high and excel in all they do. This is only possible if they can 'read' as the saying goes "READING MAKETH A MAN"
